Forum Thread: Alfa GE-RT3070 = Alfa AWUS036NH ?

Hello everybody,

I want to buy a usb wifi adapter. When I search on Null Byte, there is always the suggestion of the Alfa AWUS036NH. Now I wanted to order it and got the problem, that most sites are shipping the GE-RT3070 instead. I have read, that this is the successor of the AWUS036NH. Is this true? Has anybody experiences with the Support and performance of the GE-RT3070?

The AWUS036NH is OK, but if you are prepared to spend a bit more I would suggest a Yagi Turbotenna. I own both types and a statistical analysis of both, carried out at two sites, showed an increase in pwr of between 15 & 20% from APs, along with an increased number of APs which show in Aircrack. http://danets.com/turbotenna/UsbYagi.php
