I was just wondering, how learning coding would help me hack, and what types of languages I would need to learn to make my own tools for hacking things like accounts, sending mail bombers, creating viruses. And would I need Linux or Unix to create all these tools in or would I be able to do it on windows?

Coding can be extremely important in hacking. If you can't make you're own tools you're doomed to use someone else's.
For general tools, such as port scanning, you'll want a scripting language such as python, ruby, or perl.
For exploits and the like, you're best bet is C or C++, as these are at the heart of every system.
You'll also want to pick up Linux, as most hacks are developed for Linux.
