There are some things you might want to check out. If you are running a virtual machine you can change your mac address by going to the virtual machine network settings, going to advanced, and then clicking the little refresh icon on the mac address. I also think there is a tutorial on null byte for putting a vpn on kali linux. Just google around a bit and you'll find it :D
