How would I use this advantage to come promise or get closer to compromising the system

Port forward to the specific computer to hack, that way when you sniff the public IP, it sniffs the PC in the LAN. After that, you can send a remote exploit to the computer.
Have a look at the static routing table. You can basically route any request (Google, Facebook) to your own Box. Deliver your own (lookalike) website via apache instead, telling them they have to install a plugin (your meterpreter) to proceed.
