Im new to this myself, but as far as I know, Kali doesnt have a "Gui software center". Go to the terminal and use the apt-get command. If you are unfamiliar with it, use man apt for instructions(the manUAL). Hope that answers your question.
Kali is for more advanced hackers. You mainly have to type in terminal to open and install everything
