Forum Thread: Acer E1-531

I will firstly start off by apologizing because this is not really a place for this post but I have tried everywhere else,maybe i will be lucky here.

I have a Acer E1-531 laptop, It needed a screen replacement, so I took out the HDD (500G WD) to use on another laptop. I now got another screen and another same HDD (500G WD), I installed both on my Acer laptop.

Now the problem is when I turn it on, the screen lights up (backlight) but just stays blank. It's like the laptop does not initialise, the fan only runs for a few seconds and stops. The same thing happens whether I use another HDD or remove it altogether. Also connecting it to an external monitor does not work and hard reset (Alt+F10) does not work. Also tried pressing power button for 60s without battery and unplugged.

I will appreciate any responses.
