First, make sure you have an internet connection.
Second, make sure your repositories are correct.
You can use the command: "leafpad /etc/apt/sources.list" to edit the sources. Depending on the version of kali, you can copy the reps in there.
visit: http://docs.kali.org/general-use/kali-linux-sources-list-repositories for the most updated list on Kali 2.0
third, apt-get update
If you're still on kali 1.x you can use the sana repo's. I thought that wouldn't be possible. But i guess they use the same tools and such, isn't the biggest difference the GUI? never really looked into it, just saw some pictures.
There seems to be so much to learn in this field at times, i was getting into scripting a bit then networking. I think i'll spend more time on linux, particularly setting up a full install of arch... maybe a distribution like arch but debian based.
Oh linux, you flavorful operating system you!
did both of you use kali linux ??
if yes,can you show me what your sources list contains ??
will be nice if you guys tell me directly in this page
deb http://http.kali.org/kali sana main non-free contrib
deb http://security.kali.org/kali-security sana/updates main contrib non-free
And according to popped, it should work for any version
what command then i should use next ??
