i just converted one of mine computer into server. I have very little experience of cloud or server security. i want to know how i protect my server from DDOS attack as i also dont have SSL certificate install on my server.

There is some software for DDOS protection. I don't know how they work, but I guess you can try to ping packets that get larger every time a client pings the website. Therefore, if they pinged you 5 times with a packet size of 32, it could grow to 5 pings against them with sizes of {64, 128, 256, 512, 1024}
