Forum Thread: How to Find the Ip of Someone in a Chatroom?

I recently had a look at the chatroom hack.chat/?programming and here I noticed how easily the people here can track you. I tried everything to try and find their IPs but in vain. Does anyone knows something about this please?

hack.chat/?programming isn't the place to try to get people's IPs (trust me, I know), but you could try:

To grab their IP, but what would that cause exactly? That's the question. All you'll get is there location and that's only useful for doxxing. Either way, there's no point getting their IPs.
