Forum Thread: Hashcat and Oclhashcat

So I used both hashcat and oclhashcat...
This is wierd.. but...
Im getting 24m speed with hashcat and 19000 h/s speed with oclhashcat...

I dont know what is wrong with hashcat but it shiws me 24 speed... although it gives a little what looks like an error.. take a look at hascat

That skipping file thing... does it skip my file and just showing me complete nonsense??

Have you installed that Nvidia or AMD patch that its needed? It could influence the performance.

Sorry - I didn't see this and responded to your earlier thread.

You're using an invalid file type, so all hashcat is doing is generating a mask but not actually trying to crack any hashes. I explained how to create an .hccap file in my comment on your other post :)

Hashcat also needs a hccap file??

And also I installed catalyst 14.9 but still I have to force oclhashcat to run it.. why??

Yep - hashcat and oclhashcat only accept .hccap files for WPA/WPA2.

I'm not sure what you mean by "forcing" oclhashcat to run on it?

I mean that my amd radeon is on the supported list for oclhashcat... bur when running oclhashcat.. it says that your card is not supported... so I have to use --force to run it;);)

I have dual graphics card.. intel and amd... so I dont know what the problem is...
