Forum Thread: IP Address from Phone Number?

Simple question, is it possible to get a phone's IP address with the phone's number or within a skype call?

I believe if you'd plug your laptop directly in the WAN cable, without a router, make a skype call and then check in WireShark what the source IP of the incoming packets is, you have the IP

You used to be able to find the IP of a skype user remotely, however, skype realized the risk in this and decided not to show it anymore.

Does that mean, it now goes trough a server?

you have to capture packet to analyze the skype ip. in android , there are some tools like wireshark to do this thing
