Wojtek:
You can also use FTK Imager which is free for download from Access Data or The Sleuth Kit which is built into BackTrack and Kali.
OTW

Hey, I had the same kind of issue and to recover my files I used testdisk.
This allows you to play around with the partitions and many more but you can also recover deleted files or corrupted files (sometimes) if your partition cannot be mounted or that kind of stuff.
Install the package easily with apt-get.
Or you can try the above solution (OTW).
Good luck
I used Testdisk, but only thing I have is the log file. And I don't know what to do with it.
Use Windows Data Recovery software to recover data from any type of storage device such as Memory Card, SD Card, hard disk, external hard drive, pen card and many more.
Download the Free Trial version and recover data.
