"Rooting" is getting root on a box (usually it is implied that said box is not your own). In case you don't know, root has complete privileges, basically allowing complete control over said box.
It is used for… Getting control over someone's computer. For w/e means you want to do that..
Yes, it is possible to make a root-kit, but that is probably inadvisable. You would have to compile a number of tools and exploits and some way to manage all of them, and.. You probably don't want to do that. If you do, perhaps you'd like to contact me and we can discuss that one on one and we can talk about things in a more relaxed way.
