Forum Thread: How to Run Kali on Mac Smoothly?

Hello all,

I am using Kali for a couple of years on a dual boot Windows pc now, but for mobility purposes I bought a Macbook Pro Retina. I ran Kali in VirtualBox, but because it has a problem with the retina resolution it looks blurry and therefor is not really pleasant to work with. Do you guys have any experience using a Macbook with retina display, and if so, could you recommend me anything? Do you prefer a virtual machine or dual boot?

Thanks in advance!

I wouldn't recommend dual boot because in my experience wou'll run into a lot more problems. Number on solution would be virtual box or VMware, but if that doesn't work you could try using dockers. Kali has a dockers image and it will run nicely on Mac since their both based on UNIX.

Cheers,
Washu

That docker image seems like a neat idea, thanks!
