Forum Thread: How to Unlock Android Phone with Unresponsive Screen

I broke my nexus 6 and the screen is now completely black, I'd like to get the rest of my non backed up files off of the broken phone but because the screen isnt responsive, I cannot unlock my pattern. Ill do anything to retrieve what i'm looking for including hacking my own device. Any solutions?

Very interesting Idea however I am unable to view media on my screen it is all black and I have a pattern lock

I've never tried it but in the video, he's brute forcing the PIN with a STM32F Discovery Board Card, irrespective of the screen.

I suspect you could do something similar with a Teensy 3.0 USB Development Board too; once you crack the PIN, you could file transfer.
