Forum Thread: What Level of Math Is Needed for Hacking?

I know I know, I'm probably getting kind of annoying with my questions,

but to topic, what level of math is needed for hacking?

It depends on the depth level you want to get into it.
Nmap doesn't require you to study advanced match, while cryptography does.
The more, the better, always be ready to take the oppurtunity in a game of waiting the right one.

You have to know the basics obviously, but not that much. On the other hand, logic is mandatory. Logic is everything when it's not about crypto (almost).

DragonBox : PC app or app on android/ios is a grade 9 algebra i think. (I'm refering from memory) But is all the maths needed to complete the set of challenges at here
