i've been using kali linux 2 for less than a month and i'm having trouble understanding using the hook.js and how apache server works. please help me out. and thanks in advance.

Yes indeed, maybe you can set up a lamp in a VM on Kali. This will teach you how to set up webserver, I suggest using CentOS for this.

Also Kali is not a good first linux distro.
