Decrypting Password

Hello.

I'm new to this site and this is my first post (not sure if this is right place).

I'm i newbie in hacking. I have captured an username and password using ettercap, but the password is encrypted. How to decrypt it?

Should i use hashcat or any tools?

Please let me know if i ask question on wrong places.
