do you have kali linux in a virtual box?
yes
if you do "iwconfig" you'll get no wireless extensions.. that's because in a virtual box kali linux need an external wireless adapter to get a wifi interface..
PD: sorry for my bad english
ok thanks
Check to see that you have a wireless interface by typing iwconfig.
ít says eth0 no wirless conections and lo no wireless conections.
You will need an external aircrack compatible wireless card to crack WiFi from a VM.
but mine says :
Found 2 processes that could cause trouble.
If airodump-ng, aireplay-ng or airtun-ng stops working after
a short period of time, you may want to kill (some of) them!
PID Name
4079 avahi-daemon
4081 avahi-daemon
PHY Interface Driver Chipset
phy0 wlan0 rt2800pci Ralink corp. RT5390 Wireless 802.11n 1T/1R PCIe
wlan0 is hard blocked, please flip the hardware wifi switch to on.
It may also be possible to unblock with "rfkill unblock wlan0"
rfkill error, unable to start wlan0
airmon-ng check kill
i did that
using VM u can't use your integreted wifi card in the guest system !
( installing Kali linux on dual boot with windows will work more more better than install it on VM)
I know I'm currently trying to do that
Do you have an external wireless adapter? The above comments are onky relevant if you have an adapter.
