Kali Linux Wifi Adapter & Interfaces Not Showing Up

Alright, so this is a problem I've actually dealt with for a year.

This is on my laptop, which main host is windows 10 and I have a kali linux VM. I can get on it, I can connect to the internet (I'm connected via ethernet) and I can go on the web, view pages, etc.

I wanted to view the networks around me so I first checked what interfaces I had so I did iwconfig and this popped up:

I went to my network settings and even tried connecting to WiFi, it says connected (wired) obviously but when I go to search for Wi-Fi connections it just says no networks are available.

I've been dealing with this problem for a long time now and I just need a fix for it. I don't have an external wifi adapter but I don't think I need it? I mean I've seen other people run a VM perfectly and have kali linux with no problems without an external wifi adapter.

I currently have a Dell Inspiron 15 7000 2016 model laptop.

Hopefully one of you guys can help me out, thanks!
