KALI LINUX WIFI SET-UP, I NEED HELP!!!

I need urgent help. I am completely new to Kali and penetration testing. I installed kali lLinux yesterday through a USB (ISO large version) and I dual booted it on my HP laptop. I am using dual boot, real hardware and no virtual machine. My issue is that I have no clue how to connect to the internet (wifi wirelessly) and I've tried the tutorials. They told me I need a "WLAN0 device" but for some reason I don't have it, to get it the tutorials tell me to download it, which I cant do, because I need wifi. So it's a catch 22. If asked I will provide any necessary information, any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
