How to Learn?

Hello everyone,

Now I know that people that have great knowledge in "hacking" can get annoyed with people that are not. I understand script kiddies and people that want a program they can download and do no work. I am not that person. Now I dont have a great deal of knowledge in the subject of hacking but I have a small idea. I have been reading and studyig for sometime but havent found something that truly teaches. Most of the time I run into people that actually dont know much their self and it just confuses me. I am looking for something that will help me learn and become educated. Im not looking for a program to download . Im lookin for something that will take time and effort but will actually teach me.
