How to Send Secure SMS

Hey people!

Since I'm learning about hacking, I'm paranoid about being hacked.

Right now I receive a SMS from an unknown number and I think the guy just made a wrong number but I'm afraid about answering him.

So is there a way to send SMS with no risk of being hacked or surtax number?
