How Was the First Programming Language Made?

I always wonder how was the first computer prorgram was made to run on computer?

How do people create programming language using which other applications are made?

I understand that the high level codes are converted to assembly for computers to read and execute, but how are the programming languages made which enables this. First people used punched cards and other stuffs for programming , so how was the computer used first , how was the program executed digitally the first time?
