Straight to the question, is there (I suppose those exist) a program or a way to sniff the information on a remote router (far far away from you) through WAN when you have the valid password and user name for it.

Should i use Vpnbook for hacking activites (like nmap, metasploit)? Is it reliable?

Basically, I'm having a new computer, because of work related reasons. But my older computer is still pretty good (16 gb of memory, intel® Core™ i7 4700HQ Processor) and I'm interested in white hat hacking, among other stuff. Should I use my old computer just for hacking? What are the advantages of having a computer just for hacking? For instance, I have a VPN service on the old computer - if, by any reason, someone is able to hack or stole my old computer will they be able to reach my new...

Hello Everyone, I am new to the community here at Null Byte and have been tuning in for a few months. Recently, as I am starting to get into the rhythm of school, I wanted to expand my knowledge of coding. I am thinking of expanding my knowledge on either C, python, or Java. In particular, I am interested in cybersecurity. Recently, my father's system was infected with spyware, which segues into my question: How does spyware work? What language is it in? Is it possible to find and remove it? My...

In my last tutorial I very briefly introduced Zanti , but in this tutorial I will start to show its many features. The first step on hacking is recon . You could use Nmap , but the problem with Nmap on Android is that by itself, in order to gain full functionality your phone must be rooted. Thank goodness for a few geniuses in Zanti's dev team whom managed to implant full fuctionality of Nmap in Zanti without rooting your phone. With that being said, boot up your Android phone and lets start...

These days I found a very beautifull python script that just prints the google chrome usernames and passwords that are stored on your machine.

Welcome back to another episode of Java Tutorials,

Have any of you participated in warzone on overthewire? It is a place were any connected device is a target to be hacked. So it's real time hacking.

I was just approved by EC-Council to sit for the CEH exam. I had to apply for an exception because I didn't take an official prep class, but have worked as a junior pentester for almost a year. Anyways I've heard nothing but nightmares from pple who've taken v8 and v9 about the material in the exam not being included in any of the study materials being provided--even by EC-Concil's own bootcamp. A lot of people have demanded EC-Council to give them a refund for the bootcamp or allow them to...

So, my question is : How can I upload a file ( a shell of course ) on a web server, site, etc, if it doesn't have an upload function. I have to use the FTP server? For eg. : on imageshack or websites like that is simple, you have the upload button, but idk, here for example on null byte you don't have any buttons or functions for upload ( sorry for that eg, but I don't have any other sites in mind ). So.. ? I have to use FTP server right?

In my last tutorial, I talked about creating a virus inside of a Word Document in the scenario of a mass-mailer attack. In this post, however, I'm going to be covering creating a fake image or screenshot with a meterpreter backdoor hidden inside to be used in a similar scenario.

I downloaded and installed the distro and I've noticed weird things after I ran apt-get upgrade and installed "Paper" icon and GTK3 theme, find them in pictures, please notice that I didn't have such problems before. How do I fix the problem?

I read this whitepaper http://pastebin.com/Dg5wWSAm from anonsec. It explains each steps of how they managed to control a drone remotely. It is really interesting and I find real cases way more educational (they explain better than the theory/dedicated vulnerable web applications). I was wondering if anyone had other cases like this: they explain each steps on how they exploited a device? It is not to copy but to really understand in a real scenario, how they apply their knowledge and actually...
