Forum Thread: Anyone Know Anything About Disk Images

Is it possible to make a disk image of a program that is already installed on my computer? Example. I just got Adobe cs6 master suite and in order to get everything installed so it all worked properly took about 10 steps and a lot of messing around. It's now installed and everything is working. Can I make a disk image of the entire suite and if so can I give that disk image to a friend for him to install on his computer?

Hi. Since BEEF requires the browser window to stay open, doesnt that make it useless? I doubt that many people will actually leave a blank page open. Does one create a page that is interesting to the target, which seems like an impossible task, or how would one use it?

I have recently tried to make a kali usb stick to run live on some of my pc's. The usb works on my windows 7 pc but it doesn't work on my windows 8 and my windows 10 pc. I read about the problem and found it was due to lacking a uefi certificate. Is there anyway to get around this?

Hello all, I am using Kali for a couple of years on a dual boot Windows pc now, but for mobility purposes I bought a Macbook Pro Retina. I ran Kali in VirtualBox, but because it has a problem with the retina resolution it looks blurry and therefor is not really pleasant to work with. Do you guys have any experience using a Macbook with retina display, and if so, could you recommend me anything? Do you prefer a virtual machine or dual boot?

Hi, i'm currently pentesting a network, i hacked into some cisco devices (switches, phones...), and the gateway specified in them is 192.168.1.254, i tried hacking it, started nmap'ing, using different scan types and commands, most of them said that all 1000 ports (which are the most important though) are filtered, and some said open|filtered, i couldn't even find what OS it uses (nmap -O ...)! i don't know anything about it!
