I recently received a Pen-test result that I would like a little help from the experts here in patching the hole. It appears that Some industrial equipment has a firmware issue leaving port 17185 open to the public. This has been identified as VxWorks debugger. while it would take some time and possibly some re-engineering here to just replace this equipment I thought there might be a few back door possibilities as to closing the port.

I have the wifi password of my neighbour's router. Now I need to get the PIN of the router so that in case he changes the password, I'll be able to crack the newly set password through the PIN. I could have retrieved it through the default gateway IP but there's a dialogue box demanding username and password. I've tried all possible combinations but none of them works.

Hello fellas, just in the mood for discussion. I started learning Kali links about a month ago and I am putting in at least 5 hours everyday.

I had a question that I wanted to see if anyone has encountered or heard of. At my work 2 devices had all search results in Google Chrome redirect. On the desktop all image search results would come up with large people. On a Chromebook any search result came back with porn. Unfortunately someone wiped out the desktop so I was unable to get my hands on it to look it over. The systems are generally locked down (the desktop by GPO) and the Chromebook by Google admin. Anyone run into this before?...

Hi folks,I cannot solve this issue so any help will be most appreciated.. I Have Kali 2.0 running on a VBox I Have Just Purchased the Alfa AWUS051NH v.2, The Issue I Have Is as I run Airodump no bssid are coming up, If I reboot the whole system it might work for 10 mins then all the bssids dissapear. The 2nd issue i have is when i run Reaver It Dissconnects from the system time and time again ...I am pulling my hair out here...

So there's something about encryption I don't get. If hackers just use a wordlist translated to hashes in that encryption, how is AES safer than MD5? Does it make it sense what I'm asking?

I use debian apt source in kali 2.0 and I upgrade my kali to 4.2.0-0.bpo.1-amd64. Kali 2.0 default is 4.0,so when i install vmware workstation 10.0,vmnet goes wrong. I've tried deleting it the "proper way". Through system recovery. Every time it says "some require files missing. Please insert disk". Well I don't have the disk. I can find no other way to delete windows off my computer. This 8.1 is an absolute joke. I have to get it off my computer. Any other options? Someone suggested deleteing the partition but I cannot find any online tutorials on how to do that as I am not an expert.
