You can get a pretty decent setup for a few hundred. The new raspberry-pi system is around $35. Get a crap ton of them then run a Beowulf cluster. That's what i would do anyway Since their are 900mhz 4-core each you can get 40 cores for decent price, Unless you have a 2k budget. Then someone has a really cheap one thats good for the price, can't remember who though Then you can run a NAS on one of those i believe for the file
