Forum Thread: Noobie Alert...

For those that don't know already, I'm new here. For those that for some reason hate noobies, I'm sorry but I'm just asking; can the kind community point me in the right direction. I know a bit of computers, I don't mean I know how to press buttons, but I am going in a thousand trap infested paths. A little help and advice would help. Please and Thanks. :D

Forum Thread: Kali Calendar

so you know how Kali comes with a built in clock and calendar, right? When you click on it it says "nothing scheduled for today". I want to schedule something, but can't figure out how to? wth? Also I used my package installer to install chromium. Too bad I can't figure out how I'm supposed to run that either.

Forum Thread: Low Disk Space/Can't Upload Pics on Here

I have your standard laptop computer with 6GB of RAM and a hard disk drive. It came with Windows 8 installed. I purchased a SSD to replace the HDD to make my computer faster. The SSD was too small however and I couldn't take it back. So I decided to dedicate the SSD to Kali Linux alone. I installed the SSD on my computer and then installed Kali Linux. There is plenty of space on my computer, 491.6 GB but I keep getting a warning that says I have low disk space.

Forum Thread: Physical Protection of Data

It seems that usb flash drives fail on me more often than they probably should. This especially frustrates me because I'm often too paranoid to make backups of any of my sensitive (but not necessarily important) data, and so I find myself data-less at the least convenient times.

Forum Thread: IP Address in Kali When Running as Virtual Box

Hello everybody, I just installed Kali as virtual box and tried to hack my Windows 7 from Kali using Adobe Flash Player buffer overflow exploit. But the ip address I see in Kali starts with 10, it is not my real IP address. So when I go to that ip address from Windows in order to open the backdoor nothing happens and session is not started.

Forum Thread: Problem with Kali Full Installation onto USB

I made a full Kali install onto an USB. I chose full disk encryption from the installation process. The installer created two partition. One is around 200 MB and ext2. It is needed for boot and encryption process as far as I know. The other one is ~15 GB (16 GB flash drive) and encrypted with LVM/LUKS. Kali was installed onto that partition. The installation ended successfully. However, I wasn't able to boot from it. It showed a blank screen.

DearNull Byte users, In order to perform certain actions I want to first ping an xx.xx.xxx.xx IP of a random individual or test environment. When i use 'ping IP' I get 100% packet loss which means of course means no package has been received.

Hi all xile hackers, Hell a lot of tools are available for us on kali to hack a PC, hack an account or hack a phone etc.. but the problem is all the above mentioned things can be said to be working only over the connections on our own LAN.My friend are also saying that Metasploit and SET,Beef etc only work over our LAN so not pretty much useful, but i am damn sure they can be made to work over WAN using some so called port forwarding etc..

SPLOIT: NSA Releases Open Source Network Security Tool for Linux

Greetings My fellow hackers!. Its been long since I last visited and I must say I'm very much impressed with the community's growth since I left. Its always nice to see new threads and members around making the forum live each passing minute. You guys are really awesome in all your ways.

Forum Thread: Little Intro

Hi, thought I should introduce myself. My name is Joshua, but my username (which I notice isn't used) is f1n.fl0 (pronounced fin-flow). I'm 13-years-old, which is young, but I want to start teaching myself these things at a young age so when I'm... say... twenty, I have seven years of experience. I know a bit of the Linux terminal (xargs, less, cd etc) and I'm also learning Python, which is fun. I've always been into technology, so I figured I might as well do something with it. By the way, y...

But I have Windows since my first computer days so I don't really know much about what Linux should I download. I see there a lot tutorials for Kali 2.0 but should I as a newbie download that?
