Forum Thread: US Cyber Warrior

I wanted to see if anyone has experience with joining the military and becoming a cyber warrior.

I've recently become curious in joining, but I am weary at the potential lost of privacy and anonymity that comes with joining.

My main reasons for joining would be:
1) DoD Clearence
2) Possible exposure to tools and techniques that otherwise would not have access to.
3) Legally hacking and penetrating other Countries (Good Challenges)
4) Expedite my learning in hacking
5) Meeting like minded and motivated individuals in person (Being connected)

If anyone has experienced these things, I would appreciate your input (in military or not) to really understand if these benefits can be easily achieved without joining.

If nothing else, what's your opinion?
