Forum Thread: Hacking Emails / SMTP Using Hydra / Bruteforce Tools

I just was trying to crack my own email passwords using Hydra / Python scripts ..

After many tries of passwords from wordlists I see that SMTP servers blocked me from future tries which make it impossible to pass this ..

Does anyone have any idea on how we may try to check SMTP authontication without being blocked ? or any good Alternative for Hydra tool to fetch email password ??

Check how many tries you are able to do before getting blocked and than You should write a script to Use VPN every n attempts.

Btw i think ist not possible to crack smtp with hydra, I never succseded

There are several protection against bruteforce. You can try to change IP every X attempts. But it might not work.
