Forum Thread: Public Ip in Msfconsole LHOST

Can i use my public IP while creating a payload "set lhost <public IP> " in msfconsole. so that i can get a meterpreter shell through the internet. is it possible.

As the same way we do in Dark comet in windows.

yes of course...but you have to portforward it to your local ip

But when youre creating a handler.. there you have to enter your private ip..
