Hello guys. I'm a Engineering Computer student and last week my programming professor offered me a "Science Iniciation" (how we say here in Brazil when a student starts a project with some professor). His idea is to build a web manager/monitoring system for the University's cluster, something like the Ganglia (http://ganglia.info/ ). I'm about to accept the offer but the thing is: I'm not sure how I'll collect the datas from the nodes (Ubuntu Server) through network using C/C++.

Greetings, I was testing a web-server, where I explored certain vulnerabilities in wordpress, allowing me to download arbitrary files from the web-server. I gained the authorization credentials to the database, but this time there was something new. I couldn't connect to the web-server's databse at 3306 port(Mysql). The reason here was that my the DBA has only allowed a specific group of users to connect.

I have MAC Book pro 2015 with 10.10.11 El Capitian and after numerous failed tries of installing Kali as a Persistent Operating System in MAC after update to 10.10.11 I consider a solution of using VM WARE Fusion as my option. Therefore I have to ask you that would all the tutorials mentioned here about KALI would work seamlessly on VMWARE fusion or I still have to keep on digging into a method of runnning kali as another OS in my MAC?

Hi I just purchase a Windows 2008 server and add a new administrator user and I have also disable the main administrator....and I have a firewall and everything but the ports opened that are open on my server are of concern to me...when I first did a nmap scan there were only three ports uh let me see if I can remember this right....It was port 3389 which is RDP and its filtered then 5904 which is the vnc port that I connect to and last I think it was the either 111 rcbind or 19 filtered char...

Hi I have recently bought a window vps that needs a vnc client in order to login into and I have been have the hardest time finding a good vnc client for Ubuntu I have tried remmina, but I have absolutely no control over the mouse its like an extend mouse and it is very hard to use....I have tried vncviewer, but ubuntu has control+alt+delete as the keyboard shortcut to turn off the computer and I have tried to disable this many time and whatever I do just seems not work if anybody has any ide...
