Forum Thread: How to Protect Router from DOS/DDOS ?

How can i protect my home router from DOS or DDOS attacks.

I have Digisol DG-HR3400. infact it has some inbuilt configurations to prevent Dos attacks but they are useless. I several time succeed in DOSing the router. PLease tell.

I myself do not know the exact technicals, but I believe depending on your ISP, you can filter out certain IP addresses. Assuming that the DDOS attack is not coming from multiple IP addresses (which it may) it definitely is possible.

Contact your ISP if you are under an attack and try using wireshark to make sure your network is safe.
