Kali Linux is just a package of tools, that are all put together. Not all of them are compatible with Ubuntu, however. You can get things like Metasploit on an Ubuntu and nmap, setoolkit, and most of the scanners are compatible, too. Let me know if this helped.

As Cameron suggested, Another way to install Kali tools is to use Kali's repositories in your sources file. Be sure to break your Ubuntu system if you don't check a tool's compatibility before installing.
